Michelle Gipson, publisher of Written Magazine, has been writing since she was 13 years old, when she began the "High School Scene" column in the Nashville Pride. She earned both a B.A. in Mass Media and her M.A. in Counseling from Hampton University. She has been published in Jane, Black Issues Book Review, the Atlanta Daily World, and Chicken Soup for the African American Soul and Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul.
Stuart Keeler is a sculptor, curator, and writer whose work explores the territory between the public realm and the role of the artist in the built environment. His frequent work in other media, including installation, sound, drawing, and performance, often explore multiple histories, private functions, and public mythologies, and question the human landscape. From the outskirts of Toronto to urban Chicago and the periphery of Paris, Keeler explores the evolving role of how art and the public can be united in subversive ways. Recently he has completed a series of works that challenge and offer multiple concepts of sustainability, "green", and the power of information systems presented within social art contexts.
