Early Childhood Education: Making a Big Impact on Little Learners
Atlanta
Join us for a dialogue with funders in the field of early childhood education.
This event is part of our Funding for Education Month.
Free
90 minutes
The state of Georgia once led the nation in efforts to provide universal access to quality preschool experiences for 4-year-olds. However, according to the Southern Education Foundation's report, Time to Lead Again: The Promise of Georgia Pre-K, the program’s claim to offer "universal" education is a misnomer, since the percentage of four-year-olds enrolled in Georgia Pre-K has never exceeded 55% since the program began in 1995.
Come and learn what your organization can do to provide access to high-quality care that can lay the foundation for children's success later in life. Participants will also learn about relevant research in early childhood education and how to discover funding opportunities in the field.
Our panelists will include:
- Lauren Veasey, Program Officer
Southern Education Foundation
- Catherine Covington, Grants Manager
SunTrust Bank Endowment & Foundation Services
- *Others To Be Announced*
