This workshop will use the Fulton County Public Art Program proposal template as a foundation for understanding public art proposal writing as a whole. This presentation will offer insight into the proposal writing and commission selection process. Participants will receive examples of successful proposals, get insights into developing narratives and budgets, and learn about available resources and opportunities for public art commissions in other locales.

This workshop is free and open to all interested artists of any level of experience and working in any medium.

Presenter: Lisa Tuttle, Public Art Program Education and Outreach Coordinator, Fulton County Arts Council

Lisa Tuttle is an Atlanta-based artist and arts administrator. She has worked with the Public Art Program of the Fulton County Arts Council since April of 2003 - first as the Interim Public Art Coordinator and currently as the Public Art Education and Outreach Coordinator. Prior to her work with FCAC, Lisa served as Gallery Director for the Atlanta College of Art in the Woodruff Arts Center, as Visual Arts Director for the Arts Festival of Atlanta, where she organized and curated exhibitions, as well as developed visual arts programming and public art projects, and as both Associate Curator and Gallery Director at the Nexus Contemporary Art Center. She has extensive experience in the field of public art, both as an artist and as an arts administrator.
