Presenter: Kelly Hornbuckle, Manager of Marketing & Communications, Georgia Restaurant Association

Kelly Hornbuckle manages the Georgia Restaurant Association’s marketing department, where she develops creative, cost-effective solutions to meet the needs of GRA members through event planning, community involvement and web-based initiatives. She also supports and creates professional development programming and maintains the GRA web site. Since 2007, she has produced the Georgia Restaurant Association Crystal of Excellence (GRACE) Awards – an annual black-tie gala which honors the stars of the restaurant industry and has featured such speakers as Ted Turner, Truett Cathy, Coby Brooks, George McKerrow and Pano Karatassos. As the co-creator of the GRA Community Forum, she has extensive experience with social media and networking techniques and has conducted several workshops and programs on the topic.

Kelly has a passion for community involvement and serves on several boards and committees. She is the restaurant recruitment chair for Chocolate! 2009 (benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation), a committee member for March of Dimes Dining Out 08-09, member of the Advisory Board for Atlanta's Table (a project of the Atlanta Community Food Bank), a hospitality representative for Atlanta Public Schools Career Technical Education Board, a member of the Advisory Board for Share Our Strength’s Operation Frontline and an executive committee Member for the Green Foodservice Alliance. Kelly was an honor student at the University of Georgia where she graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in Public Relations and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
