Free
Almost all nonprofit organizations rely on special events to help heighten awareness and raise money to fulfill their missions. Unfortunately, many charities move from event to event struggling with low attendance, high overhead, and little return on investment.
Presenter: Joy Graham, Managing Director at Livingston, Graham & Martin Joy Graham has held various positions in nonprofit management over the past twelve years – most recently as a philanthropy consultant for nonprofit and business entities throughout the country. Through her consulting, Joy has also, at various times, held interim positions with different types of nonprofit organizations which combine her professional accounting and nonprofit expertise to manage fundraising, stewardship and financial systems for smaller organizations. Joy’s increasing responsibilities in the nonprofit sector have included accounting, organizational development, marketing and communications, fundraising, training, and event planning. She knows first-hand the nuances of working on a development team with a multi-million dollar budget as well as working with minimal staff and minimal funds. She has effectively mastered applying big-budget strategies to low-budget initiatives, and enjoys sharing her knowledge to build stronger nonprofit organizations in every community.
