We've been working hard to chronicle philanthropy's response to the economic crisis and this is our latest effort. It's an interactive and engaging snapshot of this critical economic region using our Philanthropy In/Sight mapping tool.

By tapping into our vast database of information on grantmakers and grants, and providing access to a diverse array of demographic, socio-economic, and other data, Philanthropy In/Sight: Detroit enables grantmakers to identify areas of greatest need and visualize philanthropy's impact
on the Detroit-Warren-Livonia, Michigan, metropolitan area.

Use the Grantmaker Map to learn more about who's supporting metropolitan Detroit, including grantmakers located there as well as grantmakers around the country awarding grants to nonprofits in this area. Click the Grantmaker Map Create/Edit link at the top
of the screen, then click the check box under Plot Map Pins and click the Create/Refresh Map button.

Zoom out by clicking the U.S. Map link at the top of the screen to see the national scope of funding for Detroit.

Use the Grant Map to learn more about the support being awarded in metropolitan Detroit, including who's giving and who's getting grants. Click the Grant Map Create/Edit link
at the top of the screen, then click the two check boxes under Plot Map Pins and click
the Create/Refresh Map button.
