About FOLIO (Foundation Literature Online)
In collaboration with the Foundation Center, the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) University Library has developed a permanent digital archive for the long-term preservation of foundation-funded publications. The collection, FOLIO (Foundation Literature Online), is housed at IUPUI and (with the permission of publishers) maintains public access to digital files of the publications, even when they are removed from the original web sites.
A FOLIO Link in the report entry indicates that a digital file of the report is permanently archived in the collection. Click to download the report from the FOLIO site.

The impetus for this project came from a July 2004 meeting convened by the IUPUI University Library and the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University that brought together foundation executives, scholars, and consultants to address specific issues of knowledge management for foundations. A searchable digital collection, FOLIO provides free online access to foundation documents and publications, sharing knowledge widely and ensuring the reports' long-term preservation for researchers and historians.
