Foundation Finder
Foundation Finder is a free lookup tool on the
Center's Web site that provides basic facts on private and community foundations in the U.S. It is designed for those seeking quick
access to core information about a foundation, including the most recent IRS filing.
(Tax returns are not available for community foundations, which are not required to
file Form 990-PF).
To perform a search, type in the foundation name, or part of the
foundation name in the "Foundation Name" search entry box. Every query must include
all or part of a foundation name. If you know more about the foundation, such as the
city and/or state where it is located, you may limit your results list by entering this
information in the "City" and "State" search boxes.
Sample search:
You need to find the contact information, as well as the most recent tax return for
the Boone Foundation.
Suggested search strategy:
In the foundation name search entry box, type Boone. Foundation Finder is not case
sensitive, so you can type in any combination of lower and upper case letters. From the foundation state drop-down list, select North Dakota.
