User-Friendly Navigation Tools!
FC Search has a toolbar across the top of the screen, which offers quick access to the following frequently used menu items and specific navigational functions. ![]() The Next Record and Previous Record arrows allow you to navigate through all the individual records represented in a
search results list while you are viewing the actual records.
The Main Menu button will return you to the Main Menu Window. You then can return to your most recent
Grantmaker or Grants search criteria and results list by clicking on the appropriate button (Basic or
Advanced Grantmaker or Grants). Your search criteria and results lists remain in the most recent grant
and grantmaker search windows until you either click on the Clear Search button or click on the
Start Over toolbar icon.
The Search button opens the Grantmaker or Grants search window
(depending on your location at the time), allowing you to refine your search, or begin a new search.
The Browse button opens the Browse Window to Grantmaker Name
or Grant Recipient Name (depending on your location at the time),
allowing you to search for Grantmakers
or Grant Recipients by name.
The Marked Records button opens the Marked Records Window, if you have records that are
marked. If you have no records marked, this icon will not be active.
The Go Back button will take you to the previous screen.
The FC Search Web Page Link button launches your Web browser and links you
directly to the FC Search Web page at the Foundation Center's Web site,
where you can view news and current information related to FC Search.
When you are viewing a grant record, the Grantmaker button enables you
to move directly from a grant records to the record of its associated
grantmaker.
The Grants button will fuction only when you are viewing the record of a
grantmaker with associated grants in the Grants file. (If there are no
associated grants, the button will be greyed out.)
The Help button opens the Help file to its table of contents.
