The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations.
The Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change, the leading body for the assessment of climate change, was established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of climate change and its potential environmental and socio-economic consequences.
The U.S. Climate Change Science Program (CCSP) integrates federal research on climate and global change, sponsored by thirteen federal agencies and overseen by the Office of Science and Technology Policy, the Council on Environmental Quality, the National Economic Council and the Office of Management and Budget.
The U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) coordinates and integrates federal research on changes in the global environment and their implications for society.
The Pew Center on Global Climate Change brings together business leaders, policy makers, scientists, and other experts to design new approaches to a complex and often controversial issue.
The European Environment Agency (EEA), an agency of the European Union, works to provide sound, independent information to those involved in developing, adopting, implementing and evaluating environmental policy, as well as the general public.
The Energy Foundation is a partnership of philanthropic investors working to promote clean energy technologies to solve the world’s energy problems.
The European Climate Foundation aims to promote climate and energy policies that greatly reduce Europe’s greenhouse gas emissions and helps Europe play an even stronger international leadership role in mitigating climate change.
The China Sustainable Energy Program supports China’s policy efforts to increase energy efficiency and renewable energy. The program emphasizes both national policy and regional implementation.
