for 2nd year
Repair and rehabilitate homes of at least ten identified low-income elderly and disabled South Side residents through annual volunteer efforts and in collaboration with other local housing repair programs.
Conservation Consultant $17,000
for 2nd year
Conduct energy surveys, installation of energy-saving devices, and provide referrals for 200 senior or low-income households in five underserved hilltop communities and engage in local housing network.
Girl Scouts $25,000
for 2nd year
Partner with schools and community organizations to provide innovative, customized programs to double the number of girls served in South Pittsburgh neighborhoods.
Knoxville Middle School $2,000

Community service project brings trained middle school students and seniors with developmental disabilities at Goodwill's Elderberry Junction together for daylong shared experiences monthly through the school year.
Nazareth Housing Services $60,000

Improve housing quality for Hilltop seniors through financial and technical support for home repairs and safety checks, and enable families to become homeowners through seminars & counseling services.
Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR) $50,000
for 2nd year
Increase impact upon the health of the South Pittsburgh community by systematically and strategically focusing outreach efforts in the South Pittsburgh area with long-term goals to reduce sexual violence acts, tolerance for sexual violence and increase reporting of crimes.
UPMC South Side $20,000
for 2nd year
Initiate a nationally-qualified diabetes self-management education program for South Pittsburgh to increase diagnosis, enhance patient self-management, and reduce the disabling complications of diabetes.
Vintage $26,950
for 2nd year
Create area support groups to serve parenting grandparents and provide access to comprehensive services through innovative countywide collaborative.
Youthplaces $50,000
for 3rd year
Initiate and develop a Beltzhoover-based high-quality afterschool program for local teens with community direction and involvement.
