Proposal Deadline
Grant proposals must be received in the Birmingham Foundation office by Monday, October 26, 2009 in order to be considered for the November 2009 funding cycle.

Proposal Guidelines
The Birmingham Foundation suggests use of the Common Grant Application Format developed by Grantmakers of Western PA. Copies may be obtained by visiting their website at www.gwpa.org. In addition, the proposal should include a one-page cover letter describing the name and purpose of the project, the need being addressed, the amount of the request, and the contact person. The letter should be signed by the Executive Director or Chairperson of the organization, as well as collaborative organizations.
The narrative should not exceed 3 pages and should be clearly organized. Include:
- An executive summary
- Program design, objectives, staffing, and timeline
- Evaluation plan, and plan for continuation after grant funding has ended
- A project budget
- Most recent 501(c)(3) determination letter
- Board members and officers with their employment and affiliations
- Board approved annual budget with income and expenses
- Recent audited financial statement
