Grants are awarded on an annual basis with decisions on funding becoming final at our Annual Meeting which occurs in November. All applicants will be advised in writing shortly thereafter. Successful applicants will usually receive grant funds in mid to late December. Champlin funds must be deposited into a separate, interest bearing account immediately upon receipt as an express condition of receiving a grant. Organizations receiving grants will be expected to commence expenditure of funds as soon as practicable. Therefore, organizations that are notified of forthcoming funding should not delay entering into any contract or purchase order while awaiting their check. Annual reporting on the use of grant funds is due on December 31st of each year for the period the grant remains open. Reporting requirements are mandated by policy of The Champlin Foundations consistent with Internal Revenue Service regulations.
