FINANCIAL STATEMENTS GRANTS AND DISTRIBUTIONS Since its founding in 1960, approximately $50,000,000 has been distributed to approximately 400 organizations. Generally the distribution has followed the pattern of giving established during John P. Murphy's lifetime, but in response to community and social needs and priorities, the Trustees have, from time to time, cautiously shifted the pattern of distribution. During the fiscal year of 2003, the Foundation distributed $2,610,756 in 173 grants to 107 different organizations. At year end, an additional $1,730,875 had been committed to be paid in 2004 and future years. Below is shown the manner of distribution by general generic categories: 2003
Note: IRS Form 990-PF for the year ended December 31, 2003 will be available after July 1, 2004 at the Foundation's Offices or at the Foundation Center, Suite 1600, Hanna Building, 1422 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115.
