2010 Grant for Bioethics Research
THE KORNFELD PROGRAM IN BIOETHICS AND PATIENT CARE AT THE GREENWALL FOUNDATION
In 2007, the Kornfeld Foundation awarded a five-year $1,000,000 grant to The Greenwall Foundation to administer a research program in bioethics, focused on the ethical issues that arise from treating individuals dealing with serious illness. The mission of this effort is to conduct evidence-based research that will identify practical, rather than theoretical, ethical issues that will improve care for patients on an individual level. Thirteen grants have been made to date, including five grants in 2009 and 2010 that were co-sponsored by The Greenwall Foundation.
