Each year the foundation awards approximately twenty-five grants of $1,000 to $15,000 in one funding cycle.

The postmark or email deadline for grant applications is July 1st for a November decision.

To apply, please send a letter or an email, no longer than one page, outlining the purpose for which you request funding. There is no application form; the letter is your application. Please include a one sentence summary of your proposed project. The letter should address these basic questions:

• What is the significance of the issue you seek to address and how does it affect young children and their families?

• What are the changes you seek to bring about?

• What project are you proposing to Trio and approximately how much funding are you requesting for it?

• How will this project bring about the changes you seek?

Applicants whose projects best match our funding priorities will be asked to submit a longer proposal.
