Teach For America - Specialist, District and School Partnerships
Teach For America - Kansas City seeks a Specialist, District & School Partnerships to maximize the reach and impact of the movement by driving projects and supporting initiatives related to the matriculation, placement, and onboarding of new corps members and maintaining corps communication. The Specialist will work closely with the Director, District & School Partnerships to design, support, and/or drive logistics, operations, communications, and hiring projects related to effectively onboarding Teach For America's incoming corps members and ensuring that all are fully compliant with federal, state, and district certification requirements by the first day of school. In addition, the Specialist will provide team-wide support in database management, event execution, and administration of our programmatic resources in the Kansas City region. The Specialist, District & School Partnerships will report to the Director, District & School Partnerships.
Responsibilities
District and School Cultivation and Stewardship - 15%

Track and maintain cultivation and stewardship data, meeting schedules, notes and takeaways, and action items

Create and run progress reports and identify trends and best practices within region and compared to other regions

Develop and prepare materials and communications to be used for cultivation and stewardship
Corps Member Hiring - 15 %

Plan and manage hiring logistics throughout the corps member hiring process

Track hiring process using Placement Tracker tool and any supplemental systems
-
Prepare corps members to be successful in the hiring process by organizing and managing resume and interview coaches
-
Track and ensure documents that corps members must submit to districts to interview, secure hire, and sign a contract
Matriculation/Certification/Corps Member Onboarding - 60 %
-
Regionalize national guidance and tools to manage matriculation (confirming new corps members offers to join the corps) and onboarding process for region and manage regional staff members in executing to reach the regional goal including ongoing retention efforts until Induction

Track matriculation and onboarding progress using Onboarding Tracker tool and any other supplemental systems
-
Update and manage all corps member communications related to joining the corps, testing, certification, university partnerships and transition to region, including providing support and resources during the process

Engage with certification partner to update and manage knowledge of certification requirements, including negotiating final certification tracks for each corps member
-
Track and manage submission of documents that incoming corps members must submit to certification partners and state agencies

Managing DSP team systems and databases, including the TFANet website

Creating, administering, and compiling online surveys and other high-volume data gathering

Assuming responsibility for special projects as they arise
Operations - 10%

Provide administrative support to the regional team

Respond to information/data requests from other internal teams and corps members

Hire and supervise temporary employees when necessary for large projects or data processing

Develop and execute systems for running successful large and small group events, including regional induction and post-institute, and ongoing professional development

Track and maintain the DSP team budget

Manage logistics of all matriculation/Onboarding related events

Interact with other teams as related to creating efficient region-wide systems, making accessible information and data, and organizing events/initiatives to drive a collaborative, inspired staff culture
