Greenwall Foundation - Program Coordinator
The Greenwall Foundation funds innovative bioethics research. Our flagship program, the Greenwall Faculty Scholars Program, enables junior faculty members to perform cutting edge bioethics research under close mentorship from leaders in the field. We are seeking a Program Coordinator to manage existing Foundation programs and activities and also be directly involved with the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives. The Program Coordinator will gain first-hand experience in all aspects of a small nonprofit organization.
We seek candidates who are interested in developing a career in nonprofits and foundations.
The candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Program Coordination
- Manage the application, selection and compliance process for grants made by the Foundation, including publicity efforts and communication with applicants and selection committee members
- Serve as liaison between the President of The Foundation and The Greenwall Faculty Scholars in Bioethics and the Faculty Scholars Program Committee
- Play a key role in developing and implementing additional new bioethics programs
- Organize semi-annual meetings of the Faculty Scholars Program. Negotiate contracts with hotels and caterers, set agendas, and prepare and distribute briefing books
- Draft and revise publication materials about the Foundation and its existing and proposed programs
- Write and edit material for Foundation web site, assist with web development initiatives
Foundation Administration
- Assist with the planning and implementing of twice-yearly meetings of the full Board and Board Committees
- Serve as liaison between the President of The Foundation, The Foundation Board, and other organizations
- Assist the President with drafting and revising meeting minutes, including taking extensive notes at meetings
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the Foundation

- Outstanding interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow projects through to completion.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize different projects simultaneously
- Interest in and skill at event planning for different groups and in different settings
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Affinity for technology and excellent research skills
- Ability to gather information from a variety of sources and think clearly and innovatively to solve problems
- Full-time experience in non-profit administration
