Manager, BrainLine.org

WETA’s innovative Learning Media team is looking for a manager to oversee the editorial and technical operation of BrainLine.org and also contribute to long-range site strategy and planning. BrainLine is a national multimedia project that offers authoritative information about preventing, treating, and living with traumatic brain injury.

Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of web design, user experience, information architecture, SEO, traffic building, content management systems, and emerging social media required, as well as knowledge of HTML, CSS, php, javascript, etc.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum five years progressively responsible experience directing successful online projects; managing and motivating editorial, creative, and technical staff, including front-end developers.

Experience working with brain injury or related fields (e.g. public health, mental health issues, science and medicine, and military issues) preferred. Journalistic experience reporting on medical, scientific, public health, mental health or military issues helpful.
