Membership Associate

The Association of Performing Arts Presenters (Arts Presenters) seeks an accurate, detail-oriented and flexible Membership Associate to join the Association’s membership team. The Membership Associate is responsible for providing a critical level of support to member recruitment, retention and service efforts of the organization. The Associate works directly with the Membership Director with the plans and processes for meeting annual earned revenue goals. The position requires communicating directly with members, member prospects, preparing and maintaining administrative and financial records, documents and files; maintenance of membership database (CRM) records and prospect data. The Associate supports the Director and membership team in maintaining relationships and administering contracts with vendors and consultants, including processing of invoices, payments, fulfillment of other contractual obligations, and general administrative support. The ideal candidate w ill be a collaborative team player with direct membership marketing and sales experience, and the skills and ideas to support the marketing and retention plans.​

The ideal candidate has a college degree; at least two year’s experience in membership services, customer services, CRM database maintenance, marketing and communications. Other requirements include a solid, measurable experience with Microsoft office software; excellent verbal written and electronic communications skills; the ability to analyze data and develop comprehensive reports and willingness to work collaboratively across multiple departments. Experience working in the arts or in a nonprofit organization highly desired.
