Adrian College Receives $1 Million From Dow Foundation

Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan, has received a $1 million grant from the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation in support of campus renovations, the Daily Telegram reports.

The grant was awarded as part of a $12 million project to revamp two academic buildings, Peelle and Jones halls. Scheduled to begin in the spring, the renovations will include the creation of spaces for scientific research, teaching, and conferences at Peelle Hall and new facilities for the college's business disciplines in Jones Hall, the Daily Telegram reports. Newly established graduate programs in industrial chemistry and accounting also will benefit from the renovations.

"Gifts like this one have a resounding impact," said Adrian College president Jeffrey R. Docking. "We are grateful for the support that it will provide in our continued commitment to build state-of-the-art facilities and offer superior academic opportunities for our students."
