The need for volunteers to solicit major gifts is endless and universal. Soliciting Gifts: A Guide for Volunteers is videotape designed to teach volunteers to be comfortable when asking for money. The training tape moves the volunteer through the solicitation process from the planning stage to making the appointment, stating the case, listening to the prospect, and finally asking for the gift. It can be used for group training or be sent to individual solicitors for training at home. It is designed to ease the anxieties of the new solicitor and to refresh the memories of the veteran. Soliciting Major Gifts was created by a committee of experienced directors of development from ADVIS schools. While originally conceived to meet the needs of independent schools, it offers training that is applicable for volunteers, throughout the private non-profit sector.

For the past five years, PCG has earned a reputation for helping individuals and 'grassroots' organizations fashion successful funding campaigns: increasing revenue; obtaining first-time grants, and garnering gifts from major donors. PCG President, Jane Penn, specializes in translating best practices from the world of philanthropy for those still building their reputations, as well as their bottom-line.

New for 2006, and in response to the growing needs of its client base, PCG is expanding its services from grant writing and donor relations to include training, strategic planning and 'outsourced' support; as well as a Discount Package and 1-day Clinics for new ventures and small development shops.

Whatever the demand or shift in climate, our philosophy is simple: offer high-quality, cost-effective fundraising services to nonprofits working on the frontlines of their communities.

Worthington Associates Worldwide helps organizations respond efficiently to the unique challenges confronting the nonprofit sector through a variety of services: Strategic Planning and Adaptive Marketing; Philanthropic Marketing; Marketing New Services, Entrepreneurship and Venture Creation; Corporate Sponsorship and Marketing of Ideas and Causes; Managing and Marketing Through Motivation; and Event Marketing. Our clients expect us to perform with the same level of professionalism, judgment, dedication, and knowledge that they would apply if they rendered the services themselves. Accordingly, we accept assignments only if we are convinced that we can satisfy our clients' needs.
