The Foundation Center's Washington, DC Learning Center
The Foundation Center - Washington, DC, conveniently located near Farragut Square in downtown Washington, includes a multi-functional training facility, ideal for foundations, other nonprofit organizations, or any group looking for space in which to host meetings, conferences, seminars, and computer-based training programs.
Adjacent to the Center's library, the learning center includes a meeting room, a computer laboratory, and a large registration and reception area. The facility is wheelchair accessible and fully compliant with all other Americans with Disabilities Act specifications.
Availability
9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, subject to Foundation Center's program schedule. Facilities are NOT available for consecutive days.
Meeting Room
The meeting room accommodates 45 people in theater style. The room is equipped with a projector, screen, instructor's computer, microphone, and VCR.
Computer Laboratory
The computer lab seats up to 16 trainees and one instructor and is
fully equipped to handle a wide range of technologically
sophisticated presentations and training programs. Each of the
high-speed DELL computers runs Windows XP and is equipped
with high speed Internet access and integrated sound and video
cards. Each terminal is complemented by a 17-inch flat-screen
monitor, providing versatility and convenience to the individual
user. Like the large meeting room, the computer lab is equipped with
a ceiling-mounted projector for easy display of program materials on
a screen and the same comprehensive package of audio-visual
equipment and accessories.
Registration and Reception Area
Rental of the meeting room or computer lab includes access to an adjacent registration and reception area. Light and spacious, it offers a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for receiving program participants and offering refreshment breaks. Registration and refreshment tables are available, as are coat closets.
