Visit a funding information center in the Washington, DC, area, for free access to a core collection of Foundation Center print and electronic resources, including Foundation Directory Online Professional. These funding information centers are often located in libraries, community foundations, or nonprofit resource centers. They offer workshops and training classes for local nonprofits as well as one-on-one assistance when using Foundation Center resources. No appointment is necessary, but hours vary, so we recommend calling before you visit.

Established in 1977, the Small Business Clinic is the premier clinic in the country devoted to providing free start-up legal services to Washington, DC-area entrepreneurs, nonprofit groups, and arts organizations.
