But What About Our Web Site?
Birth, Care and Feeding of Your Nonprofit's Online Presence

Free

Washington, DC
Wednesday, October 20
9:30 - 11:00 am

A high and low level look at starting, building and maintaining a web site for your nonprofit.

In today's world, whether looking for a book, the local weather or a company to fix your roof, the first place people begin their search is the internet. This is just as true when people are searching for information on the causes they care about.

We've all seen cool web sites with eye candy and no information, or text heavy web sites that give you a headache - so it's important to focus on getting your organization's information out on the web effectively.

This program will offer both a strategic and practical look at how to start setting up a new web site for your nonprofit and will give insight into the often overlooked care, feeding and growing of that web site once launched.

Presenter: Matt Hodgson, President and CEO, hodgsonConsulting

Matt is the founder and President of hodgsonConsulting (Hodgson), a full service web technology company that serves many nonprofits in the DC region. Incorporated in 2001, Hodgson provides strategic, creative and technical services to its clients.

Prior to forming Hodgson, Matt was the Director of Web Development at Iconixx where he managed the web development group, including user interface designers, user interface developers, information architects and application developers. Matt is also the President of the Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County (CVC-MC). The CVC-MC educates businesses on how to partner with and support nonprofit organizations by helping to create successful volunteer/charitable programs that positively impact the business, its employees and the local community.
