The Foundation Center's Cooperating Collection at the Rockville Library is hosting a series of free fundraising classes for nonprofits in Montgomery County.

All three classes will be held from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the
Rockville Library and led by staff of the Foundation Center-Washington, DC.
The three part series consists of:
- Grantseeking Basics, Monday, October 19
An overview of the funding research process for those seeking grants from foundations, corporations, and grantmaking public charities, highlighting the electronic and print resources available for your free use at the Rockville Library.

- Introduction to Foundation Directory Online, Monday, November 16
Learn how to create customized searches to develop lists of prospective donors that will match your organization's funding needs using the Foundation Center's searchable database.

- Proposal Writing Basics, Monday, December 14
A basic overview of the proposal writing process geared toward new proposal writers. It will cover the key components of a draft proposal, how the proposal should be packaged, and what to do if your proposal is turned down.
