This workshop will cover what social enterprise is and how nonprofit organizations can leverage their assets as a means of increasing and diversifying their revenue base.
The outcome of this workshop is to help an organizations’ leadership better understand how to assess their assets, brainstorm opportunities, and understand how to approach a feasibility assessment for potential new ventures.
Community Wealth Ventures will facilitate group discussions using client case studies as well as integrate opportunities for participants to apply the concepts learned to their own organizations.
Workshop objectives include:
Present the field of social enterprise with a range of examples from around the country.
Discuss the risks and benefits of embarking on a social enterprise.
Lead a discussion to identify and assess organizations’ leverageable assets.
Brainstorm potential opportunities that map to these assets.
Introduce the concept of feasibility assessment.
