Converting Audiences to Donors: Best Practices for Prospect Research in Arts and Culture Fundraising

This workshop will cover the results of WealthEngine's Best Practices for Prospect Research in Arts and Culture Fundraising Report, outlining various strategies and techniques for increasing the return on investment (ROI) in respect to development and prospect research efforts. Using specific examples of Arts organizations who have utilized various prospect research tools to increase their ROI and Major Gifts, guest speakers, Elizabeth Schiffmann and Kathleen Richards will walk through the specifics of prospect research within the industry and give helpful hints to increase your own organizations' ROI.
Presenters: Elizabeth Schiffman joined WealthEngine in 2008 as a member of the Client Service Team working with clients to implement their screening results, strategize and understand WealthEngine's prospect research tools. Elizabeth now employs her strong product knowledge and communication skills in a Marketing role. Previously, Elizabeth worked in fundraising, development and special events for The Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC and on a congressional campaign. A graduate of the University of Vermont, Elizabeth began her work in fundraising with the Student Government Association and other clubs she was involved in. As part of this project she has lead focus group discussions, assisted with the survey analysis, conducted client case studies and assisted with the writing and editing of the report.
Kathleen Richards, spent the past decade working in the arts both on stage, and in the office. A graduate of The Catholic University of America, Kathleen has worked as the Program Manager for The Princess Grace Foundation, USA in New York and as the Development Director for Adventure Theatre in Glen Echo Park. In 2010, Kathleen joined WealthEngine's Market Development team. She has assisted in researching, writing and editing the Best Practices for Prospect Research in Arts and Culture Fundraising. Kathleen is one of the first points of contact for nonprofit clients wishing to learn more about WealthEngine's solutions for prospect research. Outside of the office, Kathleen continues her arts connection by remaining involved as a volunteer and advocate.
