Green IT: How Your Nonprofit Can Save Money While Saving the Planet
Washington, DC
Friday, April 23
10:00 - 11:30 am
Save money and reduce carbon emissions for your organization by taking advantage of “Green IT.” This session, designed for non-technical decision-makers at nonprofits, describes:
- Steps organizations can take to reduce the environmental impact and energy consumption of their Information Technology.
- How to use IT for more efficient and environmentally responsible operations.
In both cases, benefits are often financial as well as environmental. You will leave with ideas of next steps that your organization can take.
Presenter: David Deal, CEO of Community IT Innovators (CITI) and Chairman of Virsant. David has over fifteen years of experience helping nonprofits with their Information Technology and leading social ventures. More recently, he has led CITI and Virsant in promoting green IT throughout the nonprofit, private, and educational sectors.
This program is being held on the day after Earth Day, so let's keep thinking green!
